Ingredients
3 Β½ cups (455 g) bread flour
2 ΒΌ teaspoons instant yeast (1 envelope)
1 Β½ teaspoons salt
1 Β½ cups (360 ml) warm water (105-115Β°F)
Instructions
1-First: in a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt by stirring them with a whisk. Gradually add the warm water and mix with a wooden spoon until a dough ball forms. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest on the counter for 8 to 18 hours to allow the dough to rise.
2-Next: line a 6-quart slow cooker with parchment paper for easy removal. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface, flatten it into a 9-inch circle, then fold it over itself and shape it into a ball. Place the dough in the slow cooker and cover the lid with a double layer of paper towel to prevent condensation.
3-Then: cook on high for about 2 hours, or until an instant-read thermometer reads 190Β°F. Once done, remove the bread using the parchment paper. For a crispy crust, broil it for 5 minutes and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
