1 thawed sheet of puff pastry
1 triangle of brie cheese (approximately 125 grams), cut into cubes
1 large egg
1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk
Coarse sugar for sprinkling (about 1 tablespoon)
Honey for drizzling (about 1–2 tablespoons)
Crushed pistachios for topping (approximately 2 tablespoons)
Pinch of salt (sea salt preferred)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Trim the brie rind as preferred and cut the cheese into cubes.
3. Place the brie cubes in the center of the thawed puff pastry sheet.
4. Fold each corner of the puff pastry toward the center to cover the brie completely.
5. Whisk together the egg and milk to make an egg wash. Brush it over the pastry.
6. Sprinkle coarse sugar over the top.
7. Bake for about 20 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and cheese is melted.
8. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey, add crushed pistachios and a pinch of salt.
9. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
