1 1/2 tablespoons strawberry jam
1 drop red food coloring or beet powder (optional for pink tint)
2/3 cup very small diced fresh strawberries
1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon water for egg wash
Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
1-Thaw puff pastry and preheat oven as directed.
2-Mix the cream cheese mixture and refrigerate it.
3-Cut the pastry into 3-inch heart shapes, spacing cuts closely.
4-Transfer hearts to a lined baking sheet, about 1 1/2 inches apart.
5-Score a smaller heart inside each one, about 1/3 inch from the edge.
6-Add about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mix in the center, leaving the border clear.
7-Top with diced strawberries, keeping the border exposed.
8-Brush the edges with egg wash.
9-Bake for 14 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
10-Cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
