Ingredients

– 2 apples

– 8 cups apple cider

– 2 cups orange juice

– 1/3 cup lemon juice

– 4 cinnamon sticks

– 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

1-Gather all ingredients and tools: Begin by poking the 15 whole cloves into the 2 apples for added flavor.

2-Add to the pot: Pour in the 8 cups of apple cider, 2 cups of orange juice, and 1/3 cup of lemon juice, then include the apples, 4 cinnamon sticks, 1/4 teaspoon each of ginger and nutmeg, and the optional 1 tablespoon of sugar.

3-Heat and simmer: Place the pot over medium-low heat and let it simmer for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally to mix the flavors.

4-Finish and serve: Remove the apples and cloves from the mixture, then pour the Wassail into mugs and serve it hot for the best taste.
