🍪 Soft and chewy sugar cookie bars that are easier to make than individual cookies and perfect for feeding a crowd
🎉 These simple bars with delicious frosting offer the classic sugar cookie taste everyone loves with minimal effort and maximum sweetness

  • Total Time: 1 hour 35 minutes
  • Yield: 24 bars

Ingredients

– 400 grams of ripe tomatoes for adding a fresh, juicy base that brings natural sweetness and acidity to the bars

– 2 tablespoons of olive oil for mixing into the dough, providing moisture and a subtle richness that helps the bars stay soft

– 1 finely chopped onion for offering a mild depth of flavor, helping to balance the sweetness

– 2 cloves of garlic (minced) for infusing a warm, aromatic note that elevates the taste

– 150 grams of fresh basil leaves for bringing a herbaceous freshness that pairs wonderfully

– 1 teaspoon of salt for seasoning, helping to enhance all the flavors without overwhelming them

– 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper for adding a slight kick, balancing the sweetness

– 100 milliliters of water for adjusting the consistency, ensuring the mixture blends smoothly for easy baking

Instructions

1-First Step: Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This prep takes about 5 minutes and ensures everything is ready to go.

2-Second Step: Mix the 400 grams of ripe tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 finely chopped onion, and 2 cloves of minced garlic in a large bowl. Stir until well combined, which should take around 2-3 minutes.

3-Third Step: Add the 150 grams of fresh basil leaves, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 100 milliliters of water to the mixture. Blend everything thoroughly for another 2 minutes until it’s smooth.

4-Fourth Step: Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, checking at 20 minutes to avoid overcooking.

5-Final Step: Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before frosting. Cut into bars and serve for 4 people, enjoying the fresh flavors at your next gathering.
