Instructions

2-Mix Creamy Layer: Beat 8 oz softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar until fluffy. Fold in 8 oz thawed whipped topping gently. Spread over cooled crust, sealing edges to prevent sogginess. Refrigerate 30 minutes to set.
3-Prepare Gelatin Topping: Dissolve 6 oz strawberry-flavored gelatin in 2 cups boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then cool to room temperature. No rushing, or layers won’t bond well.
4-Add Strawberries and Assemble: Stir 1 lb hulled and sliced fresh strawberries into the cooled gelatin. Pour gently over cream layer. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until set firm.
5-Serve: Slice into squares. The contrast of crunchy base, smooth cream, and jiggly top delights everyone.
