  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 3 to 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
1 brie triangle (approx. 125g), cut into cubes
1 large egg
1 tablespoon milk
Coarse sugar (to sprinkle)
Honey (for drizzling)
Crushed pistachios (to garnish)
Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Slice off as much of the brie rind as preferred, then cut the brie into cubes.
3. Place the brie cubes in the center of the puff pastry sheet.
4. Fold each corner of the pastry inward to cover the cheese completely.
5. Whisk the egg and milk together to create an egg wash, then brush it evenly over the puff pastry to promote even browning and a glossy finish.
6. Sprinkle a generous amount of coarse sugar on top of the pastry.
7. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese inside has melted.
8. Remove from the oven and while still warm, drizzle honey over the pastry.
9. Add crushed pistachios and finish with a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavor.
10. Serve immediately to enjoy the warm, gooey texture of the melted brie.
