Ingredients
4 pounds chicken wings
1 Β½ cups hot sauce
ΒΌ cup brown sugar
Β½ onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
Carrot sticks
Celery sticks
Ranch or blue cheese dressing
Instructions
1-First, mix together 1 Β½ cups hot sauce, ΒΌ cup brown sugar, Β½ onion (diced), and 4 cloves garlic (minced) to make the Buffalo wing sauce. Set this aside for now. Next, add 4 pounds of chicken wings to a 6-quart slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, stirring to coat everything evenly.
2-Then, cook on high for 2 Β½ to 3 hours if using frozen wings, or on low for 3 hours if theyβre fresh. Always check the wings with a meat thermometer to make sure they reach 165Β°F inside, without touching the bone. After cooking, take the wings out and place them on a foil-lined pan, then throw away the cooking liquid.
3-Preheat your broiler to high, brush the wings with extra hot sauce, and broil for about 5 minutes on each side until they get a nice crisp and brown. Finally, serve them up with celery sticks, carrot sticks, more hot sauce, and ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping. This process, with a prep time of 5 minutes and a total time of about 3 hours 5 minutes, keeps things simple and effective.
