  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
1 triangle or wedge of brie, cut into cubes (round or wedge brie both work)
1 large egg
1 tablespoon milk
Coarse sugar (amount as desired for sprinkling)
Honey (for drizzling)
Crushed pistachios (for topping)
Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Slice off as much of the brie rind as you prefer, then cut the brie into cubes.
3. Place the cubed brie in the center of the puff pastry sheet.
4. Fold each corner of the puff pastry toward the center to fully cover the brie.
5. Whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash, then brush it evenly over the puff pastry to ensure even browning.
6. Sprinkle coarse sugar over the top of the pastry.
7. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
8. Remove from the oven, drizzle honey on top, sprinkle crushed pistachios, and finish with a pinch of sea salt.
9. Serve immediately to enjoy the warm, melted cheese.
