– 1 medium cauliflower head

Instructions

First Step: Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet
Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and even cooking.

Second Step: Prep the Cauliflower
Thoroughly wash and dry the cauliflower. Cut it into uniform small florets or 1/2-inch thick steaks to ensure even roasting.

Third Step: Season the Cauliflower
In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower pieces with olive oil and melted butter if using. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, and toss again until all florets are evenly coated with the seasoning.

Fourth Step: Arrange and Roast
Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure pieces have space between them to prevent steaming. Place in the preheated oven and roast for 15 to 20 minutes for florets, or up to 25 minutes for steaks, flipping halfway through to promote even browning.

Fifth Step: Check for Doneness

Final Step: Serve and Garnish
