– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled to room temperature

– 1/2 cup light brown sugar

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

– 1 1/2 cups pumpkin pie mix from a can

– 1 large egg

– 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

1-First, grease and line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper, then preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup light brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves.

2-Next, add 1/2 cup of melted and cooled unsalted butter to the dry mix and stir until it forms a crumbly dough. Reserve about 3/4 cup of this mixture for the topping and press the rest evenly into the prepared pan to create the crust. In another bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups pumpkin pie mix, 1 large egg, and 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract until smooth, then pour this filling over the crust.

3-Sprinkle the reserved crumb topping over the filling and bake for 28 to 32 minutes, or until the topping turns golden brown.
