Ingredients

– 1 to 2 tablespoons raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar

– Juice of ½ to 2 medium fresh lemons

– ½ to 2 cm fresh ginger knob, grated

– 1 teaspoon raw honey or your choice of natural sweetener (optional)

– 1 to 2 cups warm or room temperature filtered water

– A pinch of cayenne pepper, cinnamon, turmeric, and black pepper

– ¼ teaspoon butterfly pea flower

– Yerba mate tea

– ¼ teaspoon camu camu powder

– Fresh mint leaves or lemon/lime wheels (optional)

Instructions

1-Roll and juice lemons: Roll lemons on the counter before juicing ½ to 2 lemons, straining out any seeds for a smooth juice.

2-Peel and grate ginger: Use a spoon to peel fresh ginger, then grate ½ to 2 cm knob directly into your mixing jar. For a smoother drink, strain ginger juice through cheesecloth.

3-Combine starters: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar and optional 1 teaspoon honey to lemon juice and ginger. Stir until honey dissolves.

4-Add water: Pour in 1 to 2 cups warm or room temperature filtered water. For a sparkling version, replace half the water with unsweetened seltzer.

5-Enhance flavors: Gently mix in optional spices like cayenne pepper, cinnamon, turmeric, or antioxidant powders.

6-Serve fresh: Enjoy right away on an empty stomach. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes or serve over ice with mint or lemon garnish if preferred.
