– 1 to 2 tablespoons raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar

– 1 teaspoon raw honey or preferred sweetener (optional) for sweetness
– 1 to 2 cups filtered water (warm or room temperature)
– Pinch each of cayenne pepper, cinnamon, turmeric & black pepper, or ΒΌ teaspoon butterfly pea flower (steeped separately), yerba mate tea (brewed and cooled), camu camu powder (ΒΌ teaspoon) optional add-ins
– As desired fresh mint leaves or lemon/lime wheels (optional garnish)
Instructions
1-Roll lemons: Roll lemons on the counter to maximize juice extraction. Juice Β½ to 2 lemons, straining seeds as needed.
2-Prep ginger: Peel fresh ginger using the edge of a spoon and grate directly into a glass or jar. For a smoother texture, strain grated ginger juice through cheesecloth if preferred.
3-Mix liquids: Add apple cider vinegar and optional honey or sweetener to the lemon juice and grated ginger. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.
4-Add water: Pour in warm or room temperature filtered water, mixing well. For a sparkling version, replace half the water with unsweetened seltzer.
5-Include optional boosters: Gently mix in any optional ingredients such as cayenne pepper, cinnamon, turmeric, or antioxidant powders.
6-Serve: Drink immediately for best flavor and benefits, ideally on an empty stomach in the morning. To enjoy chilled, refrigerate for 10 minutes or serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint or lemon slices.
