Instructions
1-First Step: Get your glass ready Start by filling a rocks glass or old fashioned glass with ice. A chilled glass helps keep the drink cold longer, and it also gives the cocktail that classic served-over-ice look. If you want a more tropical feel, you can use a tiki-style glass, but a simple rocks glass works perfectly well.
2-Second Step: Juice the lime Cut 1 medium lime and juice it until you have 1 ounce of lime juice. Fresh lime juice matters here because it gives the cocktail a clean, lively taste that bottled juice usually cannot match. If the lime is firm, roll it on the counter first to get more juice out of it. This small step helps the whole drink taste brighter and fresher.
3-Third Step: Build the cocktail in the shaker Place the lime juice, white rum, dark rum, orgeat, and orange liqueur into a cocktail shaker. At this point, you are building the flavor base before chilling it. If you want a smoother sip, add both rums to the shaker.
