– 8 cups water, divided
– 6 bags black tea
– 1/3 cup sugar, optional, adjust to taste
Instructions
1-Bring half of the water (4 cups) to a boil in a saucepan.
2-Remove from heat and add the tea bags.
3-Let the tea bags steep for 10 minutes.
4-Remove the tea bags from the hot water.
5-If desired, add the sugar while the tea is still hot and stir until dissolved.
6-Add the remaining cold water (4 cups) to the brewed tea.
7-Refrigerate until fully chilled, about one hour.
8-Serve the iced tea over ice with optional lemon slices and fresh mint.
