🌭 Deliciously savory and tangy, this hot dog chili transforms ordinary hot dogs into a classic, flavorful meal!
🌭 Easy to prepare and packed with protein, it’s perfect for casual gatherings or quick family dinners.

  • Total Time: 30-40 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef (93/7)
1 bottle (12 oz / 340 g) chili sauce
1 can (8 oz / 227 g) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 pouch (1 oz / 28 g) chili seasoning
1/2 cup (120 ml) water
2 tablespoons buffalo wing sauce
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
8 beef hot dogs
8 hot dog buns
Shredded sharp cheddar cheese, for topping
Chopped white onion, for topping

Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Draining excess fat is unnecessary for lean beef.
2. Stir in chili sauce, kidney beans, chili seasoning, water, buffalo wing sauce, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and onion powder.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chili thickens to a sauce-like consistency.
4. If the chili is too thick, gradually add water or beef broth.
5. While the chili simmers, cook hot dogs using your preferred method: boiling, grilling, or air frying.
6. Place each hot dog in a bun, spoon a generous amount of chili over it, and top with shredded cheese and chopped onions.
7. Serve immediately.
