Instructions
1-In a mixing bowl, combine 1 ½ cups warm water, 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, and 1 packet instant dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
2-Add 3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour and 1 ½ teaspoons salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
3-Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
4-Roll out the dough into a 12 by 24-inch rectangle. Prepare the topping by melting ½ cup salted butter and mixing in 2 teaspoons garlic powder, 2 teaspoons dried oregano, 2 teaspoons dried basil, and 1 teaspoon salt.
5-Brush half the butter mixture over the dough, sprinkle with ½ cup grated parmesan cheese, fold in half, then brush with the remaining mixture and add the rest of the cheese.
6-Cut into 1-inch strips, twist each one, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
7-Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
