Ingredients
1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas
½ cup smooth almond butter
2 large eggs (room temperature)
½ cup cacao powder
2 3 tablespoons coconut sugar (optional)
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips (divided)
A pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
1-First, set your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
2-In a large bowl, mash the 1 ½ cups of ripe bananas until smooth this is key for that moist texture.
3-Next, add the ½ cup of smooth almond butter and 2 large eggs, mixing everything until it’s creamy and well combined.
4-Stir in the ½ cup of cacao powder, 2-3 tablespoons of coconut sugar if you’re using it, ¼ teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of sea salt.
5-Gently fold in about 2/3 cup of the chocolate chips to keep the batter light and airy.
6-Pour the mixture into your prepared pan, then sprinkle the remaining 1/3 cup of chocolate chips on top for extra gooeyness.
7-If you want, swirl in a bit more almond butter for a fun twist.
8-Pop it in the oven and bake for 22-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
9-Once it’s done, let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
