Ingredients
– 6 hot dog buns (top sliced preferred)
– 6 hot dogs
– 3 cups shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese mix
– 6 tablespoons soft butter for brushing buns
Instructions
1-Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat to get everything ready for cooking.
2-Roll each hot dog bun flat with a rolling pin, then spread 1 tablespoon of butter on the outside of each bun. Place the buns butter side down on the skillet and sprinkle with 1/3 cup shredded cheese each.
3-Slice hot dogs lengthwise so they stay connected but lay flat. Place hot dogs flat side down on the skillet next to the buns, grill for 2 minutes or until browning starts, then flip and grill for another minute.
4-Transfer hot dogs onto one side of each bun and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons shredded cheese. Close the buns over the hot dogs and grill until the cheese melts completely.
5-Serve with ketchup and mustard for dipping, adding a personal touch to each bite.

π₯ Rolling the buns flat ensures even grilling and a crispy texture.
π₯ Lower the heat and cover the skillet if buns burn or cheese doesnβt melt fully.
π Use two slices of bread if hot dog buns arenβt available; cheddar or cheddar jack cheese are great alternatives.
