πŸ§€ Experience the ultimate comfort food upgrade with garlic bread and melted cheese in every crispy bite

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

– ΒΌ cup butter

– 2 garlic cloves

– Β½ teaspoon dried oregano

– 4 slices of bread (sourdough is suggested, but white, whole wheat, or any bread works well)

– 3 cups of grated cheese (suggested combinations include mature or sharp cheddar, mozzarella, and Gruyere; alternatives like Swiss, Provolone, Monterey Jack, American cheese, or Brie are great too)

Instructions

1-Begin by melting the butter and stirring in the crushed garlic and dried oregano, then set it aside to infuse the flavors.

2-Next, grate and mix your chosen cheese to ensure it’s ready for layering.

3-Slice the bread into thick pieces for a sturdy base.

4-Now, spread the cheese mixture evenly between half of the bread slices and sandwich them with the remaining slices.

5-Brush the outside generously with that garlic butter mixture to add extra taste and crispiness.

6-Heat a pan, skillet, or griddle over medium heat and place the sandwiches butter side down for 3-4 minutes, covering the pan to help the cheese melt smoothly.

7-Brush the other side with the remaining garlic butter, flip gently, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it’s golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.

8-After cooking, remove from heat, let it rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve for the best experience.

9-Prepare ingredients by melting butter, adding garlic and oregano, and grating cheese.

10-Spread garlic butter on bread and layer with cheese.

11-Cook in a heated pan for 3-4 minutes per side, using a lid for even melting.

12-Rest, slice, and enjoy your creation.
