🍞 This Easy French Toast Recipe creates fluffy and flavorful slices, perfect for a quick breakfast.
⏰ Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s a simple way to enjoy a delicious morning treat any day of the week.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 slices

Ingredients

– 4 large eggs

– 2/3 cup milk (160 ml)

– 1/4 cup flour (30 grams)

– 1/4 cup sugar (50 grams)

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon cinnamon

– 1 teaspoon vanilla (5 ml)

– 8 thick slices of bread (like thick sliced bread, cinnamon bread, brioche, or croissant bread)

Instructions

1-First, preheat your griddle to 350Β°F (175Β°C) or warm up a skillet over medium heat. We suggest greasing it lightly to keep things from sticking and add a nice crisp. Blend the 4 large eggs, 2/3 cup milk (160 ml), 1/4 cup flour (30 grams), 1/4 cup sugar (50 grams), 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon vanilla (5 ml) until smooth for a consistent batter. Or, if you prefer, whisk the flour and eggs first in a shallow dish, then mix in the rest.

2-Next, dip each of the 8 thick slices of bread into the batter, making sure both sides get a good coat but not too much to avoid sogginess. Place the soaked bread on the hot griddle or skillet and cook for a few minutes per side until it’s golden brown and smells amazing. Serve it warm with your favorite toppings like syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, fluffy Japanese souffle pancakes for a twist, or fresh berries for a fruity kick.

Notes

🍞 Use thick sliced bread that is a few days old or slightly stale for best texture.
πŸ₯› Whole milk or higher fat milk improves creaminess; add a splash of cream for richness.
❄️ Cooked French toast can be frozen for up to 3 months; reheat in skillet, toaster, or microwave.
