Ingredients
– 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (can substitute other nut butters if needed)
– 3 tablespoons salted butter, softened
– 1 cup or more powdered sugar
– 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped or as chocolate chips
Instructions
1-In a bowl, mix the 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter with the 3 tablespoons softened salted butter. Gradually add the 1 cup or more powdered sugar until the mixture forms a firm dough ball. If the dough is too soft, add additional powdered sugar a little at a time until it holds together well, then cover and let it sit for 15 minutes to firm up or refrigerate it tightly wrapped until ready.
2-Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to firm up the balls before dipping; refrigerate longer if needed to get the right texture.
3-Melt the 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate according to its package instructions, keeping an eye on it to avoid burning.
4-Dip each peanut butter ball one at a time into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. Place the dipped balls on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper, then cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
