Ingredients
– 80 grams (3 ounces or Β½ cup) chopped dark chocolate for chocolate ganache
– β cup (80 ml) heavy cream for chocolate ganache
– 115 grams (4 ounces) full-fat cream cheese at room temperature for peanut butter mousse
– Β½ cup (125 grams or 4.5 ounces) creamy peanut butter (not natural) for peanut butter mousse
– Β½ cup (60 grams or 2 ounces) powdered sugar for peanut butter mousse
– Β½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract for peanut butter mousse
– β cup (160 ml) heavy cream for peanut butter mousse
– chopped roasted peanuts for layers
– brownie pieces for layers
– chocolate cake for layers
– chocolate peanut butter cups or other chocolate candies for layers
– whipped cream for layers or topping
Instructions
1-Prepare the chocolate ganache: by placing the chopped dark chocolate in a medium heat-proof bowl. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until just boiling, then pour it over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute. Whisk gently until smooth and melted, then allow the ganache to cool slightly.
2-Make the peanut butter mousse: by beating the cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract on medium-high speed until fluffy and smooth using a mixer with a paddle attachment.
3-In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form using an electric mixer with a whisk attachment. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture, then fold in the remaining whipped cream carefully for a light texture.
4-Assemble the dessert by layering the peanut butter mousse and chocolate ganache alternately in jars or cups. Add optional ingredients such as chopped peanuts, brownie pieces, chocolate candies, or whipped cream between layers or as a topping.
5-If using whipped cream as a topping, increase the heavy cream quantity to 1 cup, use β cup in the mousse, and reserve the remaining β cup for the topping.
