Ingredients

– 2 cups milk chocolate chips

– 5 teaspoons vegetable shortening, divided

– 1 ½ cups instant coffee granules

– Decorations such as sprinkles, crushed candy canes, and toffee bits (quantities as desired)

– 1 cup dark chocolate chips

– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

– 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

1-First, prepare your ingredients and tools, like lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2-Then, combine 2 cups milk chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons of vegetable shortening in a microwave-safe bowl, melting them in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.

3-Next, stir in the 1 ½ cups instant coffee granules until everything mixes well, then spoon the mixture over the 30 plastic spoons and let them set on the baking sheet.

4-After that, refrigerate the spoons until firm, which takes about an hour.

5-Separately, melt the other chocolates 1 cup dark chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening, 1 cup semisweet with another tablespoon, and 1 cup white chocolate with the last tablespoon using the same method.

6-Dip the set spoons into these melted chocolates and add decorations like sprinkles or toffee bits for extra flair.

7-Finally, use any leftover chocolate in piping bags for more designs, then chill again until ready.
