🍌 This Chocolate Chip Banana Bread recipe is wonderfully moist and packed with rich banana flavor complemented by semi-sweet chocolate chips.
☕ Perfect for breakfast or snack time, it pairs beautifully with coffee and stays fresh for days without drying out.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 loaf (12 slices)

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) softened unsalted butter

– 2/3 cup sugar

– 2 large eggs at room temperature

– 3 medium to large very ripe bananas (about 1 3/4 cups mashed)

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease your bread pan to avoid any sticking.

2-In a large bowl, cream the 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter with 2/3 cup sugar until it’s light and fluffy.

3-Add the 2 large eggs that are at room temperature, mixing them in until well combined.

4-Mash the 3 medium to large very ripe bananas (about 1 3/4 cups) and stir them into the mixture along with 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.

5-In a separate bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

6-Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing just until combined to keep the bread tender.

7-Fold in 3/4 cup of the semi-sweet chocolate chips, then pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup on top.

8-Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, checking with a toothpick it should come out clean when the bread is done.

9-Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving it to a wire rack.
