πŸ§€ Philly Cheesesteak Pasta Skillet offers a quick and flavorful dinner option with tender beef and savory cheese.
🍳 This one-pan meal combines classic Philly cheesesteak flavors with pasta for a comforting and easy-to-make dinner.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 large yellow onion, halved and sliced 1/2-inch thick

1 teaspoon kosher salt, divided

1 medium red bell pepper, halved and sliced 1/2-inch thick

1 clove garlic, minced

1 pound ground chuck

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

8 ounces dry rotini pasta

2 (14.5-ounce) cans low-sodium chicken broth

1 1/2 cups shredded provolone cheese, divided

1 1/2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese, divided

Instructions

1-First, prepare all ingredients as listed, such as slicing the onion and bell pepper.

2-Then, cook the rotini pasta in the broth mixture for about 20 to 25 minutes until it’s just right.

3-In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and add the onions with half the salt to sautΓ© until they soften and brown, taking around 5 minutes.

4-Next, add the bell pepper and garlic, cooking for 2 to 3 minutes until fragrant.

5-Follow that by stirring in the ground chuck with the remaining salt and black pepper, breaking it up as it browns for 5 to 7 minutes.

6-Once the meat is ready, mix in the cooked pasta and pour in the chicken broth, then cover and boil.

7-After boiling, uncover and simmer while stirring occasionally until the liquid absorbs.

8-Finally, stir in half the cheeses, sprinkle the rest on top, and broil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden. This method ensures every bite is flavorful and well combined, making it a hit for family dinners.

Notes

πŸ”₯ Use ground chuck (80% lean, 20% fat) for a rich flavor and tender texture.
πŸ”ͺ Slice onions and bell peppers thick enough to retain texture.
🍝 Rotini pasta works best to hold sauce and ingredients for balanced bites.
