🍯 Experience the perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors with this quick 20-minute salmon dish

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 1 pound (approximately 450 grams) salmon filets, thawed (3-4 pieces)

– 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1/4 cup (about 57 grams) salted butter, melted

– 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey

– 1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

– 5 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

1-Start by seasoning your salmon for that authentic Cajun flavor, and follow along for a smooth cooking experience.

2-First, evenly rub the salmon filets with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning on both sides to build that spicy base.

3-Next, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until it’s shimmering and ready for searing.

4-In a separate bowl, combine 1/4 cup melted salted butter, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, and 5 minced garlic cloves to whip up the honey butter sauce that ties everything together.

5-Place the salmon skin side up in the heated skillet and cook for about 3 minutes until it turns a nice golden brown.

6-Flip the salmon and cook for another 3 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily.

7-Lower the heat to medium-low, pour half of the honey butter sauce over the salmon, and let it heat for about 1 minute to caramelize without burning.

8-Finally, remove the pan from the heat, pour the remaining sauce over the salmon, and garnish with parsley and lemon slices to add a fresh touch.

Notes

🌑️ Use less Cajun seasoning if using store-bought mix as they may be saltier than homemade
