πŸ₯— This BLT Salad offers a fresh and crispy way to enjoy classic bacon, lettuce, and tomato flavors with a creamy garlic-chive dressing.
πŸ… It’s quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for a satisfying lunch or a flavorful side dish.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings as main course, 6 servings as side

Ingredients

– 12 oz sliced cooked bacon

– 1 to 2 cups croutons (homemade recommended)

– 1 lb (3 cups) tomatoes, any kind, sliced

– 1 medium or large head of lettuce, chopped, rinsed, and dried

– 3 tablespoons mayonnaise

– 4 tablespoons sour cream

– 1 large garlic clove, pressed

– 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives

– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste

– 1 to 2 tablespoons milk, to reach desired consistency

Instructions

1-Step 1: Make the Dressing Mix 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 4 tablespoons sour cream, 1 large pressed garlic clove, 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in a small bowl. Stir until smooth, then add 1 to 2 tablespoons milk to get the thickness you like. Pop it in the fridge to chill while you handle the rest.

2-Step 2: Prep the Salad Components Wash and chop 1 medium or large head of lettuce, then rinse and dry it well. Slice 1 lb (that’s about 3 cups) of tomatoes into bite-sized pieces. If your bacon isn’t cooked, bake 12 oz of it on a foil-lined sheet at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 to 15 minutes until crispy. Once done, let it cool and slice it up.

3-Step 3: Assemble the Salad In a big bowl, toss together the chopped lettuce, sliced tomatoes, 12 oz sliced cooked bacon, and 1 to 2 cups croutons. Just before you’re ready to eat, drizzle on the dressing and give it a gentle mix to coat everything evenly. For the best texture, serve it right away to keep that crispiness intact.
