  • Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

– 4 bananas, sliced (preferably organic)

– 1 (11 oz.) box vanilla wafer cookies (preferably organic)

– 1 (8 oz.) package caramelized cookies, semi-crushed

– 2 to 3 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

– 3 (1 oz.) boxes vanilla instant pudding mix (or one 3 oz. box)

– 2 tablespoons cookie butter, softened

– 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (low-fat preferred)

– 2 to 3 cups very cold filtered water or milk (milk recommended for best results)

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– Pinch of ground cinnamon

– Pinch of sea salt

– Whipped cream

– Crushed caramelized cookies

– Crushed vanilla wafer cookies

– Caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

1-First: make the pudding by combining 2 to 3 cups of very cold filtered water or milk, 3 (1 oz.) boxes of vanilla instant pudding mix (or one 3 oz. box), 2 tablespoons of softened cookie butter, and 1 (14 oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk in a bowl. Mix on medium-high speed for 4-5 minutes until smooth and thickened, then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, a pinch of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt, mixing for another minute.

2-Next: in a trifle bowl or large dish, layer the vanilla wafer cookies, caramelized cookies, sliced bananas, and the prepared pudding. Add dollops of whipped cream between the layers and repeat until all ingredients are used. Top with whipped cream, crushed caramelized cookies, crushed vanilla wafer cookies, and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

3-Finally: refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld. This step ensures the banana pudding with creamy caramel sauce sets perfectly.
