Ingredients
– 8 ounces pasta (linguine used)
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 1/2 cups milk
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
– 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
– 1/4 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1-Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until itβs just right, then drain it but save a bit of the water for later.
2-Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the garlic, and cook for 30 seconds until it smells amazing.
3-Pour in the milk and cream, stirring constantly to keep it from burning until the mixture starts to boil.
4-Lower the heat to medium, stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, and taste to see if it needs more seasoning.
5-Take the skillet off the heat and mix in the cooked pasta, tossing until the sauce thickens up nicely.
6-Finish by sprinkling on the fresh parsley and serve it warm for the best flavor.

π§ Keep tossing the pasta in the sauce to allow starch to thicken it naturally.
β Avoid using flour or cornstarch as it can make the sauce gluey when cooled.
πΏ Add Italian seasoning, nutmeg, or red pepper flakes for an extra flavor boost.
